Wild World
I work while walking, and walk while working. Often I take long walks, accompanied only by my iPhone camera.
This digital format allows me to make pictures that are more like paintings - to paint with light. The details in the prints are accentuated in a way that would not be possible with any other camera. They become painterly and abstract - laced with tiny artifacts and imperfections and unexpected surprises.
Seeing and framing beauty is not enough. In each encounter with beauty lies the specter of darkness and decay, and the hovering inevitability of change.
I frame, I preserve, I celebrate, I tremble.

All photographs are archival pigment prints in editions of 10.
